It's easy to lose weight with a 2 week juice fast if you follow the juice fast properly. Below is a guide on the important steps for juice fasting so that you don't ruin your metabolism and are able to maintain the weight loss.

  1. Pay attention to the juice you use for your diet. You can either use pre made juice fast juices, purchase organic 100% juice, or make your own juice mixes. If you plan to purchase regular juice for your diet, you have to be cautious. Your juice can not have added sugar, sodium or preservatives.   2. Make sure that you drink enough juice. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of juice per day. Make sure to drink a variety of juices to help get an assortment of the vitamins and nutrients and antioxidants. You should also use vegetable juice rather than just using fruit juice. If you don't like the taste of vegetable juice you can just add it to the fruit juice to hide the taste. Since you will not be eating anything you should add a bit of sea salt to your vegetable juice to keep your salt levels healthy.
  3. Make sure to continue drinking lots of water. Drink the regular 8 glasses of day, even though you are drinking juice.
  4. When you are done with the 2 week juice fast don't just switch back to your regular diet. You need to ease back into things or you can upset your metabolism. After the 2 weeks do one day of lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and light soups, then the following day continue this with the addition of other liquid foods or light foods. On the third day follow a raw food diet with nuts, poultry, and fruits and vegetables. After this you can slowly add back red meats, and processed foods and sugars. Try to take things slowly though and avoid fats for about 5 days.
